The Nameless Priest chose a pretty straightforward tactics here - to form lines of soldiers and to force the enemy flee the balltefield led by the horror of the Unrest warmangering souls. The enemy war unknown, their abilities ignored, and the only manace that captured the Priest was the group of Ogre shooters.
First swarms of desert insects tried to waver them, after they were trampled the Cavalry followed. They all died in vain.
Same time Priest demonstrated flagrant incompetence in leading the forces - the key horde of his army stood still in front of the elite enemy warriors and was mutilated with no tactical use.
He blocked them with mummies and switched to the right flank - but again failed to Surge the mummies into enemy wolves.
After that the battle was a slow agony of screaming bones. He healed, archers and catapults shot, enemy riders, warriors and ogres were eliminated - but that was too late to stop the crushing wave of Varangur.
Nice report.
Lovley terrain
Beautiful matt
Where did tgey come from?
Gorgeous table and great pics! Looks like there’s some pretty cool kit bashing and converting going on as well…actually kind of happy your armies weren’t finished being painted – lets us see the work that went into creating them!
Great photos and batrep.
Interesting match up with the armies.
Of course I also hate it when evil fights evil, or vice versa with good vs good, there’s no risk in that kind of battle, either way both sides are going to practically score points for their side however the battle goes.
Yeah, I get that Varangur hate the Abyss, and that part makes sense, but I really hate that they are the side of Good in this campaign.
Nice little report
Oh, on the first picture I lit up, with my soapbox photographing varangurs) Then I still did not know that I myself will be against them, I thought that they are for Evil) A good report, the main thing is to increase the number of painted miniatures!
