Battle Report
Basilea Strikes Back !
2000+ POINTSHi guys ! Here my battle report after a game which gave me the opportunity to strike against the Forces of the Abyss. Enjoy your reading !

Turn 1 :
Not much to say : the Abyssals approched like a single man. This scenario planned that the Evil camp must begin anyway. Let's remember that in this scenario the Abyssals all gained the Brutal Special Rule, so i had a little handicap.
During my turn I also approched and used my diadem of dragon keen and inflicted 6 hits on one of the Succubi troops.
Turn 2 :
The succubi were still too far away from my troops so they approched anticipating the next turn. The Efreet casted his fireballs on my Ur-Elohi and inflicted 3 hits (4 actually but one healed by the basilean army special rule). On my left flank the totured souls attacked my paladins (on foot) and only inflicted 2 hits. The serious issue happend when one of my Elohi Horde got charged by the Archfiend and the other horde of tortured souls and got wiped out !
During my turn, the paladins and Domitius charged the Tormented souls on my left flank and smashed them. My horde of spearmen charged one regiment of succubi and inflicted 8 hits but failed to elilinate them. My Forlorn guards attacked and smashed a troop of succubi, and my paladin knights charged the tormented souls that killed the Elohi horde. They seriously injured them but failed to destroy them.
Turn 3 :
Both of the Succubi regiments charged my spearmen horde and killed them easily. The remaining tormented souls counter charged my paladin knights and injured them 6 tims and they got paralised. The abyssal temptress charged my Forlorn Guard and didn't do anything. The Efreet and the Archfiend used all of their powers to shoot on my ur-Elohi and those 27 attacks only inflicted one hit (Blessed be the Luminous Ones !)
My paladins foot guard charged the Succubi regiment which got hurt by the spearmen and destroyed them pretty easily because they had the help of the second Elohi horde. Domitius and the Ur-Elohi joined their forces to kill the reamaining succubi troop that got hurt during the turn 1 by the breath attack. My paladin knights successfouly used their Headstrong ability and charged once again the tormented souls. They only needed a 4 to destroy them so I got a 3. (Luminous Ones, just saying : Korgan hires a lot, ok ?!).
Turn 4 :
My Forlorn guard got charged on the back by the archfiend and on the face by the temptress and the remaining succubi regiment. Let's just say that it was pretty ugly to watch. We never found the body of Jake... (yeah, laught... This guy owed me some cash you know ?!). My paladin knights got charged by the tormented souls horde and were destroyed.
My Elohi horde charged the tormented souls and finaly gave them the eternal rest they deserved. My paladins on foot, Domitius and my Ur-Elohi charged the last succubi regiment and smashed those sexy devils ! (Don't look a me like this, it's for work, ok ?!).
Turn 5 :
The archfiend and the Efreet used all of their ranged attacks on Domitius and injured him 11 times but a superb double 1 let him safe and ready to go ! The abyssal temptress tried to charge my Ur-Elohi but failed to make any damage.
My Elohi horde and my Ur-Elohi charged the abyssal temptress, injured her like a billion times and guess what ? Snake eyes for me too... Domitius charged the Efreet and injured him two times but failed to make it go away.
Turn 6 :
The archfiend stepped back and used its shots to try to kill Domitius but failed miserably.
The abyssal temptress got finally killed.
There wasn't any turn 7 and we only had to count the remaining points.
We both played 1755 points so I needed 175 points to win. I only had 800 points left, and my opponent had 515 points. 285 points for me : Basilean Victory !
This was a hard game. The brutal special rule really handicaped me and I've made several mistakes (approching too much my first elohi horde that got smashed during turn 2...) but in the end I used my remaining forces correctly, I guess. Honestly, if I had lost one single more unit this would have been a draw. But hey, the forces of good have another victory, that's all that matters ^^

Nice report, it’s nice to see another good win. Looks like we are getting pounded hard.
Well, with all my respect also, lot of people just post who won, which armies were involved and that’s all. My battle report is pretty detailed, and even though some pics may not be extremely well done, it’s a good way to clearly “see” what happened. It’s not all painted ? Well we do with what we have and if something is not finished it can be for many reasons. I personnaly prefer (like, A LOT) to have a detailed battle report with many pics than another not illustrated because “some photos were not great and the armies unfinished”.
It can be used as a tactical source, and I think I can say it’s not so badly written so… Sorry if you didn’t like it but this won’t change my painting rythme ot the way I make my battle reports.
This is just the case when a good report spoils poor-quality photos. Well, a lot of unpainted models. In the same way, photos from a very close distance create the appearance of missing terrain elements.
But in any case it is clear that they tried to make the report good, and I wish the players to paint their armies, so that the battle would be really beautiful in all respects!
