Eddie Hotep surveyed his forces, the wave of Elves and Halflings had taken its toll leaving his skeletal units thin on numbers. Even combined with his priests their magics were unable to raise replacements from the Elven dead, and the Halflings had recovered their dead after his forces retreated. What he really needed was a good stock of fighting men, but he was not sure that such a thing existed in the World of Mantica anymore, certainly doubted that any could match his stout warriors of old.
Skulking within the eves of the Twilight Glades was not helping his situation. He decided to march towards Hokh-man, to assist with the cause of the Empire's fleet and see what else he might come across.
It was not long after marching out of the wooded realm that his forces came across an encampment of human soldiers, exactly what he needed to swell his un-dead hordes. Pharaoh Hotep turned to his troops and hissed and encouraging order, "Spare parts! Go recruit some brothers in arms!" The army surged toward a poorly prepared foe, trying to assemble their troops, as the clash of battle rang across the plains.
Yes, he’s the younger brother, and would really like to meet Elvis too.
Is eddie Hotep related to buba hotep?
Nice looking armies.
Well done, Empire of Dust!
Nice color schemes
Thanks, I tend to type a narrative rather than the way the game ran. However for you:
The Empire troops smashed the right flank of the Kingdom forces, whilst the knights of the human army devastated the skeletal horde and regiment in quick succession, taking the left.
The Kingdom general on Pegasus took out a regiment of skeletal cavalry but then got blasted by the Cursed priest and Soul Snare.
Both sides took heavy losses, the men were left with their knights and a unit of archers, the Empire had their Pharaoh, chariot reg and behemoth.
Empire won by virtue of destroying more and have more (expensive) units left.
Nicely done! Would love to see more details from the fight. Should have a battle or two here this weekend, myself, hopefully help solidify the area a bit…
