Background story
Having been hired by Baron William Kastillien to defend the wall being built on the plains. Warlod Varug saw his chance to redeem himself from letting the Ratkin run rampant in the forest of Galahir. Varug brought every ounce of muscle along that he could muster and prepared to charge anything head on across the plains. It just so happens that he had not wait long.
Turn 1 Ogres
Wanting to get into the thick of it as fast as possible Varug orders center and right flank to "at the double" rush towards the orc lines. On the left flank the Siegebreakers and the army standard advance to take advantage of the huts funnelling the chariots into their shields.
The shooters eager to deal damage overshoots their target
Turn 1 Orcs
Krudger Advances his troops setting them up to receive the initial charge in both center and his left flank.
The skulks manage an incredible feat of archery and with two volleys wavers the shooters, even with the army standard within shooting range.
Turn 2 Ogres
Having reached the top of the hill Warlord Varug orders the ogres into the waiting lines of orcs with a bellowing voice, while he charges and route a troop of skulk by himself.
The mammoth and a warrior horde slams into the trolls with such an amount of force that both units carries on directly through them barely slowing down. while to their left the warrior regiment deals just enough damage to the to waver the morax regiment even with their leaders so close.
On their left flank the siegebreakers had reached their designated positions and prepared for the incoming wave of orcs, knowing well that if they falter the entire army would be at risk.
Turn 2 Orcs
A roar of anger rose from Krudger as he saw his unites fall. "This shouldn't be happening! ATTACK! DESTROY THAT OGRE!" he screamed as he locked eyes with Warlord Varug and charged dealing 2 damage.
The ax horde to Krudgers right followed his orders and charged the Warlord as well taking him fully unprepared. dealing an additional 16 damage. Leaving the Warlord dying but still standing as his nerve failed to break.
On their right flank the orclings and the chariot had followed their Leaders orders and charged headlong into the wall of siegebreakers but didn't manage to break through.
Though not all news was bad, the remaining skulks managed to pluck the last nerve of the wavered shooters which quickly fled.
Turn 3 Ogres
Warlord Varug knew he was dying. Bleeding from dozens of deep wounds he ushered his remaining strength into his arms for a final assault and leapt into the ax horde.
As Varug swung away he barely managed to hit anyone but the fact that he had taken the charge and counter charged, had unnerved the ax horde to such an degree that only the loud threats of Krudger kept the entire horde from wavering.
Seeing Varugs countercharge spurred the Ogres into a even higher blood frenzy. The warrior regiment and the warrior horde on the right flank charged and routed both the wavered morax troop and the morax regiment.
On the left flank the siegebreakers and army standard repaid the orcs with their own charge and routed the orclings while dealing 5 damage to the chariots.
Turn 3 orcs
Krudger curses Warlord Varug and charges of into the warrior regiment hoping to waver a little of the wall of ogres soon to hit his devastated troops.
Behind him the ax horde descends upon Warlord Varug and shreds the Warlord with another 8 damage. leaving behind nothing but a mangled mess of limbs and blood.
On their right flank the Skulks throw themselves at the siegebreakers following Krudgers last order of attack. Same does the chariots but the siegebreakers weathers the damage and prepare for a counter charge.
Turn 4 ogres
A Furies roar sounds across the ogre army as everyone saw the last moments of Warlord Varug. His death will not be forgiven and all unites charge. Both warrior hordes charges the killers of the warlord and lay heavy into them, butchering them to the point where no threats from krudger can save their nerve. while krudger himself wavers under the onslaught of the warrior regiment attacking him.
On the left flank the siegebreakers work their way through the enemies. routing the skulks and wavering the chariots.
The areal photos work. Gives s clear visual of how the battle progresses.
Nice job.
Cowardly Krudger? Perhaps it was more of a tactical withdrawal?
