Edge of the Abyss

Hi guys ! Another Battle Report at the Edge of the Abyss opposing my Basilean Forces to the Green Skins (the tall ones ! xD).

It's a 1500 vs 1500 points game and was fun, but let me apologize for the quality of the pics, I only had my phone to take some.

Turn One Orcs :

In this scenario the Evil camp plays first so the my opponent began... doing nothing. Seeing that I chose only to use elite high cost units that could fly or were knights/panther lancers, he feared me to attack on flanks so he decided to use a defensive deployment and not to move at all.

Turn One Basilea :

Not much to say : my whole army advanced in direction of the center, getting ready for the next turn.

Turn 2 Orcs :

Believe it or not by my opponent decided not to move at all once again... Not glorious for an orc !

Turn 2 Basilea :

I only adjusted my moves and took care not to be at short range so I couldn't be charged. My dragon use its breath attack on one regiment of Greatax and made 3 hits.

Turn 3 Orcs :

The orcs finally begin to move on ! One of the two giants is able to charge my Ur-Elohi. My mistake... I totally forgot that this monster charged ata 14 steps... But I'm lucky enough to see that the chosen of the Luminous ones only have 3 hits, and one is healed by the Iron Resolve special rule.

Turn 3 Basilea :

My turn to shine ! Both of my Elohi hordes charged the same target (one on the flank) : one regiment of Greatax and destroyed them pretty easily. My Ur-Elohi went away from the sight of the giant and my panther lancers charged the third and last regiment of Greatax, infliected 7 hits but not enough to do anything to them. My dragon charged the regiment of greatax on which he used his breath attack before and destroyed them ! At last my paladins charged one troop of Morax and destroyed them without any difficulty. Two regiment and one troop gone, the soil was more red than before, but it was my ennemies' blood !

Turn 4 Orcs :

The Morax regiment and second (and last) troop of Morax respectively charged my elohi hordes. Fun fact : the morax troup made 8 hits and the regiment 4, considering they both charged two different units but which were the same in stats, it's like their profiles got reversed ^^. The injured Greatax and one giant killed my panther lancers, and then turned their back to see the rear of my elohi's... The giant in the middle couldn't see anyone so he turned back, and the Krudger charged my dragon and injured him 3 times so not enougth to do anything.

Tur 4 Basilea :

My Ur-Elohi charged the Krudger and made 4 injuries but not enough to kill him. My dragon smashed into pieces the regiment of greatax and my paladin knights charged on the flank the regiment of morax, while my basilean horde charged this same target face to face. They got annihilated. On the left flank, my other elohi horde inflicted 6 hits on the morax troup and after a superbe double 1 they got ready to see them charge again...

Turn 5 Orcs :

the giant and the flagger charged the elohi horde that won its previous fight and destroyed them with savagery, while the greatax troop was doing the same to the previously seriously injured horde of elohi. The krudger inflicted 3 more hits on my Ur-Elohi but she stayed still ! The last giant charged my paladin knights but didn't do enough damages to make them run or even shamble.

Turn 5 Basilea :

My paladin Knights charged back and injured the giant 4 times, not enough to do anything. My dragon charged the morax troup on the flank and avenged the elohis ! Finaly the dual opposing my Ur-Elohi to the krudger saw the victory of the chosen of the Luminous Ones !

Turn 6 Orcs :

The giant advanced and the other giant charged once again but I got luck and they just got paralysed.
The Flagger charged my paladin on dragon and failed to hurt him.

Turn 6 Basilea :

My dragon and Ur-Elohi charged the giant at the center and killed him.

To tell you the truth this happend at turn 7 but I don't remember so well how the things happened before so I just let you with the final results which are the same anyway, sorry about that...

In the end of turn 7 the orcs only had one giant and one flagger left so 240 points.

I still had my dragon with blade of slashing, my paladin knights with potion of caterpillar and my Ur-Elohi so 725. It was a 1500 points game and I needed 150 points more than my opponent, and I had 485 points so... major victory for Basilea.
