Edge of the Abyss

So this battle started with my dwarves on the left flank moving up through the woo, my obsidian golems moving up the right flank and the slave orcs moving up the extreme left flank to target the ranger and herneas contingent. Turn two my slave orcs that bravely survived a round of shooting charged herneas, mullered him and followed on into the flank of a regiment of his rangers crushing them too. not bad for 130 points. Basu'su attacked the dwarf engineer who lived. But later in the battle went on to take out a flame belcher, organ gun, dwarf long rifles and a battle standard. My greater golem got surged a ridiculous amount in the first turn revealing his flank to brock riders. fortunately he survived and a four turn pillow fight ensued. one of my lesser golem hordes killed the king on beast and probably something else. my iron casters were crap at casting failing to surge one horde of lesser golems 4 inches on 16 dice. they also couldn't hit for toffee in combat or with fireball. At the end of the game I was left with one regiment of immortal guard, a slave driver and basu'su. but I had a great fun game. wait for the youtube battle report when weight of fire edit out all my swearing. MVP goes to a troop of dwarf rangers. they were beasts.
