Edge of the Abyss

Arriving at the secret gate to Ophidia, the Undead vanguard were confronted by a wall of the finest Dwarf powder weapons. Vowing to smash the back door in, the nefarious forces surged forwards.

Mid-way through the battle the Dwarfs had the upper hand, having dealt handily with a horde of skeleton spear - and dealing messily with the Necromancer by applying the full force of an organ gun! The forces of undeath were undaunted as the Revenant King still remained. Alongside his eternal standard bearer they held their line together as they finally closed with the Dwarfs.

The sound of metal and the grunts of the Dwarfs were the only sounds as the lines clashed. The stout defenders held solid until the end when, at the crux of victory, their line folded. Zombies overran the sharpshooters and followed on to the Ironclad, joined by Wraiths that had finished off the Brock Riders. The Revenant Knights dealt the killing blow to the Brock Riders, before finally silencing one of the Organ Guns. The Revenant King stood in the centre of this maelstrom of destruction, orchastrating the surprise collapse of the doughty Dwarf forces.

As the Dwarfs withdrew their fallen kinsmen rose and changed sides. The sands shifted and a prow of a majestic war barge.
