In the dry and dying land near the Abyss the Dwarfs still mine and try to farm. We must destroy their industry to weaken their iron defences. KILL THEM ALL!
The steel behemoth turns to deter the succubi hoping to sneak around the flank and sends some dogs at the gargoyles... routing all of them!
The abyssals move up, careful to stay out of charge range.
The dwarfs move forward to meet the charge and get some steam from the behemoth into the succubi; which wavers the succubi!
The abyssals (except the succubi) charge! The abyssal harbinger bravely goes to hold off the irongaurd while the succubi reorganize themselves.
The combat draws in the steel behemoth.
Garrek sees a gap to go after the efreet...
Lower abyssals are no match for dwarfs in iron. The lower abyssal horde falls as the brocks fall to the faster (brew of haste) abyssal cavalry.
Despite the heroic effort against the horde of abyssal infantry, the dwarfs fall to the shock troops that turn toward the centre.
The game ends with 250 point of steel and 385 points (35 points of items) of abyssals left.
The game was very close and hard fought a slight (15 point) edge made the difference. With the mastiffs removing the gargoyles early, the longer charge range on the abyssal horsemen is how they managed to beat the brocks, which tipped the scale. The brew of haste won this game.
Nice batrep, I too am a fan of Brew of Haste =)
Solid pics and a spiffy-looking battlefield! Enjoyed the concise narrative, too!
We’ll invade them first!
Next battle is scenario 2 at Rhyn Dufaris!
Nice battle-report!
Just an advice; dont relax. Dwarfs Will strike again! 😛
Only issue is that the seekers don’t look Df 5; “but they’re demons” seems to work though.
Thanks. Just my Warhammer Tzeentch and Slaanesh being put to better use.
good to see
Nice job.
